University student fee rebate

Again this year the club will offer a rebate of $150 for athletes who are full competitive members and attending university outside Ottawa this fall.

To qualify for the rebate, athletes must meet the following criteria:

· Purchase full competitive membership at $800;

· Apply in writing to the Club Secretary for a rebate by September 1;

· Include proof of registration in full-time
studies in a university program outside the National Capital region

· Not be rowing at the ORC after August 15, 2008;

· Not owe any money to the ORC

While the Club Executive has every expectation that we will be in a position to provide rebates again this fall, this program is subject to the club being in a sound finacial position in September.

ERA Championship 2007

The ORC acepts the Comstock Trophy at the ERA regatta in MOntreal July 2007

ORC head coach Lubo Kisivo and rowers Camron Sabour and Taylor Pluzak with the Comstock Trophy at last year's Eastern Rowing Association (ERA) Regatta at Montreal's Olympic Basin.

Athlete Representative 2008

A meeting of competitive athletes on May7, 2008 chose Julie Shearer to be athlete representative on the Club Executive for the 2008 season.
